“Live entertainment, fashion shows, art shows, workshops, and other gatherings are held at Mansa’s Juque Joint,” states Mansa Parker, President. “And when visitors come to the mountains, after the nature walks, and after the sun sets... it is the place to come for fellowship, delicious food, and of course, music and dancing!” The Juque Joint features a large multi-purpose room with vaulted ceilings and a huge wrap around deck. “We are a unique, intimate set for live events,” adds Mansa, a singer who has lived and performed in Detroit and Los Angeles. “The Juque Joint will offer world class entertainment beginning later this year, and many of these events will be recorded for television and internet broadcast.”

The Juque Joint was developed to be a gathering place, a community center for Sassafras Ridge and has evolved to become the center of activity on the mountain. A membership based organization, we also host cultural, health, business, social, family and youth events at Sassafras Ridge. Delicious international cuisine, including Caribbean, vegetarian and southern, is served with a wide variety of beverages.
